こんばんわ！あの新しいのポース、おんあのバン紹介しますよ！Been searching for some Japanese female bands to listen to and came across this current Japanese Female Punk Rock band called Gito Gito Hustler (ギトギトハスラ in Japanese; also spelled Gitogito Hustler). This band was formed in 1995. Band members are MITSUKO (Guitar), YAGO (Vocal & Guitar), FUSA (Drums) and TAE (Bass).



Want to know how they sound like? Click here. The mood was there, everything was pretty tight. I love it. This is what I call, women’s pride. Loved their style, cute and wild. The band has released several albums and toured both US and Japan numerous times. These are the information I got from their MySpace. It was told that all the style and substance of The 5, 6, 7, 8 (mentioned in the previous post) meets early Supersnazz musically = Gito Gito Hustler.

Let's talk about the purpose of this blog. Actually I have no idea. But after uploading the music for this blog, I want to blog about かわいい　の　おんがっく！ いいですね？Those who can't understand japanese, don't worry, I won't decode any of them for you. Haha. So that I could write down my secrets happily without worrying anyone I know will ever read and understands it. I think my japanese level even japanese won't understand. Haha. I shall reveal the culture of Japanese Girl Rock Bands in this blog. If I ever have the mood and time to do it. Hope this blog doesn't get abandoned by me too soon. Anyone who want to share any ideas on the culture having girls as lead singers in the band, add it in the comment site or wherever you want. ^_^

To end this exciting blog, introducing the two japanese all girl rock bands The 5, 6, 7, 8s (1986 till current) and Shonen Knife (1983 till current) from the early days.

The 5, 6, 7, 8s

結成は１９８６年RONNIE YOSHIKO FUJIYAMA (VOCAL), RICO (GUITAR), YOSHIE (BASS), SACHIKO (DRUMS)で始まりました．１９８８年にYOSHIEからMIKAKOにチェンジ．ファーストシングル「MOND GIRLS A GO-GO」をリリース．このシングルがなぜか海外まで流出し色々な国からの音楽好きな方々からのオファーで、レコードのリリースや少し後からになりますが海外ツアーもほぼ毎年行うようになります．１９９０年にはGUITARにEDDIE（現MAD３）、BASSにOMOへメンバーチェンジ．（RICO, MIKAKOは新しくSLEEZE SISTERSを始めます)９１年には初のトリオになり、今までVOCALがメインだったRONNIEがGUITARも担当．現在のTHE 5.6.7.8'Sサウンドになって行きます．ファーストアルバムもリリース．１９９５年にはもう１本GUITARでAYA、ゲストでSAXのGOKIが参加．１９９６年にはBASSがYAMAに変わる．２００３年にＯＭＯ再登場．新しくSAKIもツアメンで参加．２００４年には長期にわたり海外でツアーに出ました．さて来年は？？

Naoko Yamano--guitar & vocal山野直子−ギターと独唱曲Atsuko Yamano--bass & vocal (originally played drums, but switched to bass when Michie Nakatani left)アツコヤマノ−低音と声高である(ミッキーナカタニが去ったとき、バスに変わらなかった当初演奏されたドラムス)Etsuko Nakanishi--drums & vocal (Etsuko has played with Shonen Knife since 2005) エツコナカニシ−ドラムスと独唱曲(エツコは、2005年以降ショウネンKnifeで遊びました)
Michie Nakatani--bass & vocal (Michie left the band after Happy Hour.)ミッキーナカタニ−ベースと独唱曲（バンドを去られるミッキー サービスタイム。）
